Scheduled reports

I am trying to schedule an Orion report from Report Writer. My problem is email is not allowed from the SolarWinds server and the Report Scheduler only knows how to email or print. Is there any way to run a report on a schedule to simply put the report in a specified folder? Thanks.

You can access your reports by putting your username & password in the URL (just like the Report Scheduler does). You could create a scheduled task that fetches the report to a local file using wget, PowerShell or whatever you're comfortable with.

Assuming you are on Server 2008, for every report that report scheduler runs, a copy of the pdf is placed in Users\[name of the user account that the scheduled task is run under]\AppData\Local\Temp.

This functionality actually appears in the 10.7 beta web-based report scheduler.
