    Home directory not accessible

    rcarim

      Hello,

I'm having trouble with this configuration. . .

      Windows Server 2008R2 + Voyager 16.0.2.0 + FTP over TLS (implicit) + PASV + connection to Serv-U v6.4

I get this error is in the log:

      COMMAND> PASV

227 Entering Passive Mode (70,89,1xx,1xx,7,209)     <== Note, this is the Serv-U IP address.

"ERROR> The home directory specified for this account on the remote server is not accessible. Please contact your system administrator for further assistance."

      Things I've tested. . .

This works great (home directory displays, but not for Serv-U):

      Windows Server 2008R2 + Voyager 16.0.2.0 + SFTP + PASV + connection to non-Serv-U servers

. . .and this works (home directory displays on Serv-U but using an older version of Voyager + Win7 instead of 2008R2):

      Windows7 + Voyager 16.0.1.1 + FTP over TLS (implicit) + PASV + connection to Serv-U v6.4

I'm not using the Scheduler "as service" to do this testing - just the Voyager UI. I'm thinking I should try loading 16.0.1.1 on the 2008R2 server but hesitate because I'm afraid it could screw up the Scheduler that is running other jobs.

      Any one have similar experience?

      Thanks.

      Doug

          Hi Doug,

so if I got you right, on same Serv-U it works with FV 16.0.1.1 on Win7, but doesn't with FV 16.0.2.0 on 2008R2. Is there something significant  in Serv-U logs, in that failed session (from FV 16.0.2.0) and can you share the log from Serv-U with us? Btw. have you tried last version of FV 16.1?

          Thanks,

          Peter

              Hi Peter,

Will FV 16.1 run side-by-side with 16.0.2? And if I run into problems with 16.1 can I revert back to 16.0.2 and resume with the Scheduler settings from that version? If I run into issues with 16.1 I'll try to get the vendor's Serv-U log.

              Thanks for your help.

              Doug

              Hi Doug,

I'm afraid they won't work side by side very well, but I recommend to backup scheduled tasks. Simply make a backup of whole folder: C:\ProgramData\RhinoSoft\FTP Voyager\. Most important file is Scheduler.Archive, but it's safer to backup whole folder.

              Hope this helps,

              Peter

                Hello,

                u. I am able to open a DOS prompt and using the FTP commands transfer the file, but when I try to use Voyager I'm unsuccessful. Can anyone help me out with this? My head is beginning to hurt from banging it against my desk.
