Your groups defined manually or through dynamic queries?
If the latter then it's possible to set up just standard reporting on the same field that using for the dynamic queries and then simply group the report by the top level fields such a city
It's a mixture of both, sadly. I do quite like the flexibility of dynamic queries, and could probably define some additional custom fields to facilitate the more specific groupings... But it would be great if there were a way to achieve a simple view of all subgroup nodes without doing so.
I just ran into this today. While you CAN create a report (it's a fugly little bit of SQL) it won't pick up the dynamic queries.
However, this report:
...is pretty nifty.
First add it into your environment (place it in \solarwinds\orion\reports) and then add a Report resource on your nodes page (details, vital statistics, or any other tab you want). THEN when you view that page for any given node, you will see the groups it is part of, including the dynamic query ones.
