Last Database Sync

Are you seeing data gaps and other weird behavior? It could be a UI artifact, but if you are seeing data issues, a support call may be in order.

This normally occurs when the Orion Poller, and SQL database servers are in different time zones, or their clocks are not synchronized. I recommend looking at the date/time settings of both Orion and SQL database servers to ensure their time and timezone settings are in sync.

What is the maximum time gap between front and back end that SolarWinds will tolerate?

5 minutes is the allowable amount of drift between the Orion server and the SQL database server.  28322 minutes, as stated above is a little over 19 days of drift, which doesn't seem like a time zone issue. It sounds more like the date/time is just off.

Isn't the 28332 minutes also indicative of the JobEngine sdf files needing to be regenerated? Or, am I mixing apples and oranges here?

The Orion server and SQL database are in the same time zone and with the same time set.  Another interesting thing to note is after the servers were restarted this week last database sync changed the to after the time of the restart.  So it seems as though the sync after a restart.  I am going to look into this further this afternoon any more advice would be greatly appreciated.

The "Last Database Sync" is updated by the "SolarWinds Orion Module Engine" service. I would recommend restarting this service to see if that resolves the time discrepancy.

That does cause the database to sync time to reset.  What causes this so I do not have to keep restarting this service?  If I have to keep restarting the service at the end of the that's all right for now, just want to figure out the root cause.

Presumably you should be fine now. If this occurs again in the future, or you'd like to determine the root case of why this issue occurred in the first place, I recommend opening a case with support so they can rummage though your diagnostic logs in search of that answer.

After a few weeks of maintenance with no issues I checked again today and the last database sync time was out of sync again.  This time due catching it sooner the last sync time was not as late.  I know you suggested contacting support and opening a case, I was just wondering if I am unable to send them the logs how much help are they going to be?
