Is this for a VMware or Hyper-V environment? Are you seeing some data for those datastores? I'm a little confused by your description and the use of "much"? Are the graphs just sparsely populated? Is it the same for both IOPS and latency?
I'm seeing data for Fibre Channel attached datastores, but not NFS mounted datastores.
Since the overwhelming majority of my stores are NFS, I'm not getting much useful data since I can't monitor them.
Sorry for the delay in response, but I was able to figure out what is going on.
The semi-bad news:
You've run into a known issue with the CI view being empty for NFS datastores, we are actively working on fixing it for a future release and are tracking it internally. If you would like to ensure you are notified when it is available, I'd encourage you to file a support ticket so we can contact you when a fix is ready.
The good news:
The metric you are looking at does not appear in the CI view because it is not valid for NFS datastores. If you look at the attacehd screenshot, you'll see that in the Performance Analyzer, there are no data points for Device I/O Latency (what's currently charted by default in the CI view for datastores, but that the latency values are there for Total Latency. These are essentially the same, although Total Latency is valid only for NFS Datastore and Hyper-V CSV's and Device i/o latency is used for all other datastores.
Hope that helps!
