You trying to connect AlertCentral with Gmail account (you should not have problems here)? Or you have something more specific?
Can you connect to this account using mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc) but not with mail autodiscovery, but specifying all ports, hosts and credentials explicitly?
Why you have such strange, for gmail account, login name?
DEBUG: protocolConnect login, host=imap.gmail.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, password=<non-null>
I'm using the two-step authenication service where google apps supplies you with a special password for your account, read more here
Basically I can log in via command line, it works, it's just when alert central is trying to connect, it doesn't do a proper login and gives Invalid Credentials, but it is valid as I just connected via openssl s_connect.
The strange name is just to remove the email name before the @ sign.
Yes I tested and verify my Gmail account with Outlook and Thunderbird, but was unable to connect AlertCentral instance.
I create bug ASP validation.
