Monitoring VPN IPsec tunnel

Hi All,

I would like to ask about the possibility of monitoring the VPN IPsec tunnel ( Site to site and remote access )through Solarwinds NPM, on
Cisco ASA 5510.

Below is the Cisco ASA specs:

Model: cisco ASA 5510
IOS: Software Version 8.0(2)

And if it is possible I need to know how to configure it.

im pretty new to soloarwinds but hopefully this is correct and helps. you should be able to enable the ipsec conditions to be monitored by the snmp using
fw (config)# snmp-server enable traps ipsec start stop
taken from http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa84/configuration/guide/monitor_snmp.html which according to that page is that should be MIB CISCO-IPSEC-FLOW-MONITOR-MIB which according to Free Cisco MIB Download Search MIBs Download MIBs for Cisco Network Management - OiDViEW is OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.432 so you should be able to use that in the SNMP Trap Viewer Start > All Programs > Solarwinds Orion > Syslog and SNMP Traps > Trap Viewer and create a trap with for that condition on the host and set your alert action (assuming you already have the host setup in solarwinds)
