Is this a confirmed bug anywhere or does Alert Central just not work at it's most basic level for text messaging?
Pretty sure this is a failing on the part of Verizon/Android. I suspect the subject is what's causing AC to get confused about the nature of these emails.
Of course, if AC treated emails that looked like that coming from SMS numbers as validations...
The only issue is, even after that you wouldn't be interact with alerts that came in.
