I am curious why I don't see Custom Properties showing up on External Nodes? As best as I can tell the view is configured to have this information displayed; however, it isn't there.
I know this thread is almost a year old, but has this been addressed yet? We noticed that our Off Network devices (External) are are not displaying the Custom Properties that are assigned to them. I was asked to find out what is worng with the server. So I am asking via the most recent related thread that I could find.
I just verified that this is still an issue in NPM 11.5. rob.hock is this a known issue?
Meanwhile, has anyone on this thread opened a ticket on it? If so please log the ticket number here so we can follow along. Also, if anyone feels like opening a feature request, we can all upvote it to get it onto the list of fixes and, as Dave said, get it some priority.
I was wondering what the problem was with this, because I've never noticed this as an issue...
As a workaround you can define a custom HTML widget with code in it like this:
Sector: ${Sector}<BR>
Building: ${Building}<BR>
AssetTag: ${AssetTag}<BR>
and it'll display the specific custom properties you want to display there (I have Sector, Building, and AssetTag as three custom properties I'm often interested in
I also have links off you our CMDB like this: <A HREF="https://cmdb/device.html?device=${Caption}" target="_blank">Lookup device(${Caption}) in CMDB</A><BR>
the target="_blank" opens the link in a new window/tab
