Migrate embedded database to MS SQL Server

Is it possible to migrate the embedded database to Microsoft SQL Server? We are on WHD 11 with Frontbase and are currently planning the upgrade to 12. This will migrate the embedded database to PostgreSQL. Is there a SolarWinds tool to migrate to SQL Server instead?

Hi jeli,
there is no Solarwinds tool, but you can use any of the 3rd party migration tools for this.

Peter we are also getting ready to do this. Which third party tools do you recommend since there is no solarwinds tool?

We did this migration from Frontbase to SQL server, but only with the help from Technical Support. I would not try this without working with support. This was very--very involved. There is documentation, but the documentation would not have helped. It took a support team some time and effort to get this migration working for us. It's also very helpful if the WEBHELPDESK software is installed on a virtual machine so you can snapshot before you do any migration steps.
