I know it's been a while but this was the response:
The research and development team has gotten back to me stating that additional code will need to be added in order to support Avaya devices and they have enough information to determine how to address this in a future release. Due to the fact that the device behaves differently from other devices, this has now become a feature request. As a result, this case will now be closed.
Thanks for the advice, I hope we see something soon.
