    Too much detail in logs when emailed

    chrisdunc

      We have just upgraded to V16.0.2.0 and are mostly happy, but...
      Is there any way to reduce the detail in the log snippet which is included in emails?
      This is an example of what we used to see:
      26/03/2013 04:15:11 - (Success) - Download:"/SECURITYTRANSACTION.TXT" -->
      "C:\EXIMIUS\OFFSHORE\Manual\Files\IN\SECURITYTRANSACTION.TXT"
      26/03/2013 04:15:12 - (Success) - Download:"/SECURITYPOSITION.TXT" -->
      "C:\EXIMIUS\OFFSHORE\Manual\Files\IN\SECURITYPOSITION.TXT"
      26/03/2013 04:15:12 - (Success) - Download:"/SECURITYACCOUNT.TXT" -->
      "C:\EXIMIUS\OFFSHORE\Manual\Files\IN\SECURITYACCOUNT.TXT"
      26/03/2013 04:15:12 - (Success) - Download:"/ROLETOPORTFOLIO.TXT" -->
      "C:\EXIMIUS\OFFSHORE\Manual\Files\IN\ROLETOPORTFOLIO.TXT"
      26/03/2013 04:15:13 - (Success) - Download:"/PRODUCT.TXT" -->
      "C:\EXIMIUS\OFFSHORE\Manual\Files\IN\PRODUCT.TXT"

      But now we get this:

      Basically we'd like a list of the files downloaded and whether it was successful or not.We don't need all the extra information.

          The log snippet that's included in the email notifications is basically the same log information that's displayed in the log pane for that site profile.  So if you want to reduce what's in the email, you'll need to configure the log settings for that site profile to display less information in the Log Pane.  This can be done from Site Profile Advanced Options | Log | "Use these Settings".  In this particular case, you would want to change the log options for FTP Commands and FTP Replies to either "File Only" or "Don't Log".
