Alerts sending variables instead of node data

In one of the Solarwinds NPM 10.3 installs that I support, the alerts have started to come in with variable names embedded instead of the actual data. Both custom properties and native properties are being sent. For example, one of my alerts comes in with ${CustomerName} - DCFP01-Physical Memory - ${IP_Address} is Up.

I've checked both the SQL server performance and the application server performance as well as the overall polling load and none of the stats seem out of whack.

Any ideas?

Tried ${Node.CustomerName} etc?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that these alerts were working for months and suddenly stopped. No changes to the platform (upgrades, etc.) and no changes to the alerts themselves.

Sounds like something has changed. My guess is that the Type of Property to Monitor has changed.

I wish it was that straight forward, but it isn't the Type of Property. I've checked the advanced alerts and there haven't been any changes.

If you haven't already check, take a look at SQL nodes table to make sure the variables are there. Make sure the custom properties, IP, etc are populated correctly. The alert is getting the data from the DB, so lets make sure the data is there.
SELECT * FROM nodes WHERE Caption = 'node-name'

I hadn't checked, but I just confirmed that the data is in the database. It's weird because some of the alerts come through fine at some times while at others they only send through the variable names. It's almost like the DB was too busy to link the variable with the data -- or the lookup failed, or something like that.
