I'm not sure about exact desired behavior. You want to let the user login to the webpage without manual entering the credentials?
There is still open possibility to use credentials in the querystring by adding username and password in following format: &accountid=user1&password=Password1
For example if you detach the resource you want to display, the URL will look like:
The limitations will work the same way as on the website or in SDK.
I hope it helps.

If you are familiar with asp.net, we do have a "Query" webservice method that takes a query as a string parameter and returns a DataTable as a result. The path to the webservice is /Orion/Services/Information.asmx . This will use the identity of the current logged in user.
Jan - Instead of feeding credentials to an Orion ASP page, we're trying to maintain user continuity when going from an Orion page to a custom ASP page. Sort of the reverse of what you do with feeding creds to a standard Orion page. We frequently run into special requirements that are solved with custom ASP pages, but we are struggling with, for example, how to handle account limitations for those accounts as they pass from a canned page to custom content.
derhally - We'll take a look at that & see if that solves it for us.
I know it has been a while, derhally, do you have any documentation?
