SolarWinds User Device Tracker version 2.5
This HotFix may help to address the following issues:
1. Status for a deleted port is shown in child status for the relevant node.
2. Port Duplex shows as "Unknown".
If you are not have experiencing either of those issues then you do not need to install this HotFix.
This fix requires SolarWinds UDT version 2.5.
To install this HotFix:
1. Shutdown the Orion Services.
a. Open Orion Service Manager in the SolarWinds program group (SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Service Manager).
b. Click SolarWinds Information Service, then click Stop.
c. Click solarwinds Information Service V3, then click Stop.
2. Shutdown the Website
a. Open Orion Service Manager in the SolarWinds program group (SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Service Manager).
b. Click SolarWinds NetPerfMon under Websites, and then click Stop.
3. Backup the following files:
a. \SolarWinds\Orion\Information Service\2.0\Schemas\UDTSchema.xml.
b. \SolarWinds\Orion\Information Service\3.0\Schemas\UDTSchema.xml.
c. <UDT Website Dir>\Orion\UDT\Ports\js\PortManagementPaging.js
d. <UDT Website Dir>\Bin\SolarWinds.UDT.Web.dll
4. Extract files from the HotFix archive into an accessible directory.
5. Copy these the extracted files as follows:
a. Copy UDTSchema.xml (InformationService\2.0\UDTSchema.xml) into the Information service directory (\SolarWinds\Orion\Information Service\2.0\Schemas\).
b. Copy UDTSchema.xml (InformationService\3.0\UDTSchema.xml) into the Information service directory (\SolarWinds\Orion\Information Service\3.0\Schemas\).
c. Copy PortManagementPaging.js into the <UDT Website Dir>\Orion\UDT\Ports\js directory.
d. Copy SolarWinds.UDT.Web.dll into the <UDT Website Dir>\Bin directory.
6. Restart the Orion Services.
a. Open Orion Service Manager in the SolarWinds program group (SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Service Manager).
b. Click SolarWinds Information Service, then click Start.
c. Click solarwinds Information Service V3, then click Start.
7. Restart the Website.
a. Open Orion Service Manager in the SolarWinds program group (SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Service Manager).
b. Click SolarWinds NetPerfMon under Websites, then click Start.
To uninstall this HotFix:
1. Shutdown the Orion Services.
a. Open Orion Service Manager in the SolarWinds program group (SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Service Manager).
b. Click SolarWinds Information Service, then click Stop.
c. Click solarwinds Information Service V3, then click Stop.
2. Shutdown the Website
a. Open Orion Service Manager in the SolarWinds program group (SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Service Manager).
b. Click SolarWinds NetPerfMon under Websites, then click Stop.
3. Copy these the extracted files as follows:
a. Copy UDTSchema.xml from the backup location into the Information service directory (\SolarWinds\Orion\Information Service\2.0\Schemas\).
b. Copy UDTSchema.xml from the backup location into the Information service directory (\SolarWinds\Orion\Information Service\3.0\Schemas\).
c. Copy PortManagementPaging.js from the backup location into the <UDT Website Dir>\Orion\UDT\Ports\js directory.
d. Copy SolarWinds.UDT.Web.dll from the backup locationinto the <UDT Website Dir>\Bin directory.
4. Restart the Orion Services.
a. Open Orion Service Manager in the SolarWinds program group (SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Service Manager).
b. Click SolarWinds Information Service, then click Start.
c. Click solarwinds Information Service V3, then click Start.
5. Restart the Website.
a. Open Orion Service Manager in the SolarWinds program group (SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Service Manager).
b. Click SolarWinds NetPerfMon under Websites, then click Start.
