Use AD authentication add the AD group Authenticated Users. Create your public view and use the account limitation builder to publish this to all users. I have noticed that the pass-through authentication can be buggy and you may have to deal with calls regarding users being authenticated when they land on the page. Just provide instructions on how to login.
Another option is to create a "local" solarwinds account that has limited rights - no edit capabilities whatsoever.
