Is NPM/Network Atlas capable of having "layers" of nodes?

I'd like to create a map of one of our campuses, but it's an enormous building and the density of our devices can be intimidating in some locations. Is it possible (or would it be possible in the future) to have the nodes populate based on which layers you select?

For instance, we have Meru APs, Axis PTZ cameras, life safety telephones, and credit card machines. I'd like to click a checkbox for the cameras and have the cameras populate. Hey, that's groovy. Now, let's look at the APs and see if the confused people on the camera are having a problem because the AP is down.

If you've used Google Earth, or other layer based mapping programs, you'll be familiar with the kind of functionality I'm talking about. It will really help in the overviews, especially when you have a camera covering the cash register which sits next to the life safety telephone.
