Can I change polling interval after alert happen ?

Hello,

Can I do below (For example) ?

(1) Set to node resource polling interval to 5min.

(2) NPM detect that this node resource value exceed over threshhold.

(3) NPM change this node resource polling interval from 5min to 1min.

(4) After alert state will recover, NPM set back this node resource polling interval to 5min.

After all, I want to make NPM to change automatically polling interval when alert happen.

Can I do this ?

several of the open source monitors can do this, it is generally called 'flap detection' and can differentiate between frequent short blips and actual alarm conditions.
