NPM 10.3.1 installed on Windows Server 2012

Hi Folks,

Looking at refreshing our Hardware that runs NPM with UDT,IPAM,NCM,NTA,SLA,SAM (all current versions) and am wondering whether we can proceed installing on top of Windows Server 2012?

SQL runs on a separate box, and we are anxiously awaiting compatibility with SQL 2012 for some of the integrated components.

I'm also looking into refreshing our hardware that runs NPM. The server guys want me to put it on Windows 2012 but I don't beleive it is supported by Solarwinds yet.

Hi,
just regarding Windows 2012 support. We do not officially support Windows 2012 or Windows 8 but we are actively working on that () so stay tuned for more, it's coming!

Any idea when Solarwind is planning to officially support Windows 2012 server? We are planning to upgrade/refresh our boxes too in 2013.

From reading the Orion NPM Version 10.3.1 Release Notes, SW states they support the use of Microsoft SQL Server 2012. Have you heard of any issues?

Guys,
SQL server 2012 is supported by SolarWinds since NPM 10.3.1.
Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 are supported since NPM 10.4 which is already released.
If you are planning to upgrade your environments in 2013, I suggest you to wait for NPM 10.4.1 which should be available in early Q1.
Of course in case you use more products of Orion Platform than just NPM, please make sure that all desired modules do support the configuration.
