Xmit/Receive data on map label is inaccurate

I have a very simple map containing a router and a switch that are connected to each other. I have added two links between them to the map - one drawn from the router to the switch and the other drawn from the opposite direction. I have embedded the Outbps and Inbps variables in the link labels. As you can see from the attached image, the values are not the same on both links.

How can that be? I know that the interfaces are the correct ones. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Since they are being reported from different devices, it's probably just a difference in the polling times.  For example the switch may have been polled a few seconds later than the router, so the bandwidth usage changed.
