Problem with Hotfix "VMAN-v5.0.1-Hotfix1"

Question

Hi,

this ist the first time i try to install a hotfix and it will not work ;-(

I copied the Hotfix from the Download in the homedir of the user "admin".

This ist the only user i have.

With putty in logged in and change to this directory.

The Rename of the old Jar-File wil done:

sudo mv /usr/share/tomcat-6.0.29/webapps/swvm/WEB-INF/lib/analytic-services-5.0.1.jar /usr/share/tomcat-6.0.29/webapps/swvm/WEB-INF/lib/analytic-services-5.0.1.jar.ORIG

But the copy of the new file does'nt work.

scp analytic-services-5.0.1-bd-1.jar admin@vmanager:/usr/share/tomcat-6.0.29/webapps/swvm/WEB-INF/lib

It failed with with the message "Permission denied"

I tried sudo scp ....

The same effect.

Whats wrong?

I just installed a hot fix yesterday and ran into the same issue.

You need to set your hyper9 password if you never have.

SSH in with your admin account and type:

passwd hyper9

It will ask you to enter a new password. Use the hyper9 / new password credentials to install your hot fix.

Also, I used WinSCP and logged in using hyper9 and it worked really well for uploading my patch files to the server.
