This is caused by the way UAC handles security for administrator accounts. When EminentWare is co-located with the WSUS server, you’ll need to do one of three things to mitigate this error:
1) Disable UAC on the server.
2) Use the built-in local Administrator account for this action instead. It seems like that would not be necessary since the account you are currently using is a domain admin - but UAC strips out the necessary security tokens, so only the built-in Administrator account will work (renamed is OK, however).
3) Run the EminentWare server on a different machine.
If you only need to access the WSUS API, it has also been observed that adding the domain account (MRAD\smssrvice) to the WSUS Administrators group may resolve this issue; however, if you wish to use WMI connectivity to this machine, you will need to use the MACHINE\Administrator account for that.
For customers running v1.72 of SolarWinds Patch Manager, there is a HOTFIX available in your Customer Portal that will also resolve this issue.
