Good Morning All.
I have been working on getting Virtualization Manager set up in our test cluster. Everything seems to be working well, collection schedules are running and the gathered data has been very helpful.
The only thing I can’t seem to get working is the Active Directory Authentication. I have tried adding the appropriate users / groups to the Virtual Manager users list but have not had any luck. We have both LDAP and AD options, but neither will authenticate. Is there anything that I need to ask our AD guy to do or should everything be done on the solar winds side?
My experience with AD is minimal so any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Running Version 4.0.5
I just had this exact same issue.
I upgraded the virtual appliance to 5.0 today and had to reset the hyper9-config-krb5.conf file.
Once done, I re-entered my AD Authentication and it works now.
There is apparently an issue with 4.0.5 and how it handles the AD/Kerberos authentication that was fixed in 4.1.0 and higher.
Hope that helps - if you have any specific questions, you can always email me directly: email@example.com
