I recently began to dive into a small project by trying to get our voip phone server to send SNMP traps to SolarWinds. I guess my first question is: do I need to create a node for the phone system and add it to SolarWinds, or will the phone server be able to send SNMP traps to the trap log, without it being a node? I have configured the phone server to send traps and also have started required phone system snmp services and solarwinds services. What else am I missing to get these guys to talk to each other?
