    Cannot Add Users to Groups

    ccshelpdesk

I have been working with the User Import Tool and I cannot seem to figure out the syntax to add users to their user group. Can anyone help me with this? Should I use Group-Membership-Sam or Is-Member-Of-DL? Do I have to tell it where the CN is located at or just use the name of the group? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To specify a group for a newly created user, use Is-Member-Of-DL. There is not need to type in and CN, just use the group name like "Administrators" or "Domain Admins". If the group does not exist, it will be automatically created.

At least, that is the way it is SUPPOSED to work.  For some reason, I cant get the User Import Tool to import the user password or the group membership.  The User Import Tool shows that the fields for these values are properly populated from the .csv file, but they don't import.  Everything else imports perfectly.  Any suggestions?

              Hi,

I've almost the same problem. Every field is correctly imported in Active Directory, but "Is-Member-Of-DL" field is imported just for the first user. All other users in .csv don't have specified group.

              Anyone can help me?

              Thanks
