NPM v10 integration with other tools via SNMP or executable

Hi

Can you please help me configure NPM V10 to send SNMP traps to some external monitoring tool and can we trigger an external executable/script on alert to forward that to some external system

Pls provide the steps involved

vivkas, has you tried configuring this in Advanced Alerts? Open Advanced Alert Manager (on the Orion server, go to Start - Programs - SolarWinds Orion - Alerting, Reporting, and Mapping) and you can configure execute external program, execute VB Script, SNMP Traps, Syslog Traps, etc. to be sent to separate system.

You need Solarwinds MIB files to import external program which will coresponde trap. you can find mib files under c:\program files(x86)/solarwinds/common (as solarwinds-product.mib and Solarwinds-traps.mib) you can modify Solarwinds-traps.mib before import this files to remote system as you wish. Also you can modify trap files which you will send to remote systems. (you can modify trap detail) for exmp: I send Node name, IP address, city, problem detail, dependencies, etc...
