    Convert a OID Text Value to Integer Value

      Hello,

      We use the Universal Device Poller feature of SolarWinds Orion NPM  to set up custom pollers for devices that we use. The data that is queried can be displayed on the site using the charts and gauges that are a part of SolarWinds. The issue here, is that some of the OID information that we use is formatted as text and not an integer. This prohibits us from using the charts and gauges. I will include samples below.

      These are the OIDs that we want to convert to an integer value.....

      .1.3.6.1.4.1.332.11.6.3.3.1.4.16.19 = STRING: "1xRTT: RSSI -69 dBm, Ec/Io -7.5 dB"

      .1.3.6.1.4.1.332.11.6.3.3.1.4.16.20 = STRING: "1xEV-DO: RSSI -72 dBm, Ec/Io -4.0 dB"

      This is an OID that has been already formatted as an integer.....
      .1.3.6.1.4.1.20542.3.4.0 = INTEGER: -72

      Is there a way to pull the numeric values from the text strings above and convert them to an integer? For example, we are only interested in the "1xRTT: RSSI -69 dBm, Ec/Io -7.5 dB" parts of this string. Is there a way to pull those values and convert them to an integer?

      Thanks!
