NPM "discoveres" multiple SVIs as multiple 6509s

We have a 6509 with multiple SVIs, but during discovery, NPM sees these as multiple devices. So in the discovery window, 2 6509s are "discovered" as 60 different devices. How do we get the discovery engine to realize that there are only two devices?
