Storage Manager Lifecyle for Support?

I am currently running Storage Manager 5.1.  Can someone tell me what the Lifecycle Road map for support is on this product?  How many releases in the future will this be supported and how does that relate to your Version numbering standard (i.e. Version, Release and Mods)?  Is there a general rule that you use for Product Support Road mapping?
