From time to time we encounter and issue on Orion where the system is not sending out email alerts and the only way to resolve this issue is to reboot the device.
We are currently running McAfee for virus protection, but we have disable this due to other issues we are seeing. Is there anywhere that I can look (Email Queue) to determine the root cause as to why this is occurring? Or is there a a specific service that can be stopped/restarted to enable mail to begin flowing again?
You could try restarting the SMTP service on the Orion server. Or you could just check the Event Logs on the Orion server.
