Did the agent self register? Check the Settings > Resources page... do you see to Servers?
Do finally see servers, albeit it took over 12 hours. However, there is no data available if I click on the status icon.

I met with David today and it seems that the Communication section found in default OS policy had a blank "Server" field that was being passed to the core.xml of the agents, preventing them from connecting.
We put the FQDN of the Storage Manager server in the field, selected "override agent values", saved that section and then pushed the policy out.
Another rep checked later with the customer and the entry had not disappeared yet.
