    Is there a Chart for Interface Up/Down over period of time?

    jdear

      I need to know when Interfaces are Down and would like to see it historically in a chart (just like Node packet loss) and add to Interface View.  I can't seem to find this resource to add to my Interface Details View.  If there isn't one, what would be a good work-around?  Thanks!

          Your work around is Report there is no historical chart available .

          Looking for a report (Advanced SQL) that combines Down Nodes and Down Interfaces with a Time Stamp of when they went down

          Or Events

          go to Events

          Event Type, select Interface down, then select the date range

          You would need to run twice, once for up, then for down

          Export it to PDF to see the results as report .

              You might also report on outage duration of interfaces, and take it from there. It's not the perfect solution, but it might be an acceptible alternative. The report is similar to the Nodes Outage duration I've seen around the forums, but there are some subtle differences. You ca take the stuff that's commented out out of the report, or modify that to fit your custom properties, etc...

              SELECT

              --Top 100

                  StartTime.EventTime,

                  Nodes.Caption as Node,

                  Nodes.NodeID,

                  Interfaces.Status as 'Current Status',

                  Interfaces.Caption as Interface,

                  Interfaces.Organization_Endpoint AS Agency,

                  Interfaces.InterfaceID,

              --    StartTime.Message,

                  DATEDIFF(Mi, StartTime.EventTime,

                  (SELECT TOP 1

                      EventTime

                      FROM Events AS Endtime

                       WHERE EndTime.EventTime > StartTime.EventTime AND

                        EndTime.EventType = 11 AND

                        EndTime.NetObjectType = 'I' AND

                        EndTime.NetObjectID = StartTime.NetObjectID

                      ORDER BY EndTime.EventTime)) AS OutageDurationInMinutes

              FROM

                   Events StartTime

                   INNER JOIN Nodes ON StartTime.NetworkNode = Nodes.NodeID

                   INNER JOIN INTERFACES ON StartTime.NetObjectID=Interfaces.InterfaceID

              WHERE

                   StartTime.EventType = 10 AND

                   StartTime.NetObjectType = 'I' AND

                   eventtime between dateadd(month, -1, getdate()) and getdate()

              --AND Nodes.Device_Role = 'WAN'

              --AND Interfaces.Organization_EndPoint is not null

              ORDER BY StartTime.EventTime  desc

              -- Order BY Nodes.caption  desc
