This is very general error that may actually mean anything. What is the OS you are trying to run on?
Couple of things to try (not necessarily in this order):
1) turn UAC off, run as administrator
2) set compatibility mode for Windows XP
3) Try Process Monitor to see whether there is any file or registry entry that might be missing when the app is starting.
4) Contact our support and reference this thread
Did it ever work before? If yes, what did you do to make it stop? Any automatic updates running, or antivirus?
