NCM 7.1.1 Now Available

You can find the installation packages in your customer portal. This service release delivers:

New Features and Improvements

  • New version of the Orion Platform: Continues support for the Find Connected Port for End Host feature when NCM integrates with NPM.
  • Support of Windows Server 2012: Use this latest Windows operating system as needed to run NCM by itself or with other Orion Platform products.
  • Cisco VLAN report: Shows VLAN-related configurations on NCM devices.

Fixed Issues

  • Increased field size available for SNMPv3 passwords to 30 characters.
  • Implemented an inventory limitation by which only those devices show up in the web console that are associated with an appropriate customer ID.
  • Resolved a node synch issue to ensure that NCM respects the actual setting for SNMPv3 passwords rather than always encrypting them during a synch.
  • Clarified messaging in the installer: to upgrade to NCM 7.1.1 you must have NCM 6.1 or 7.0 currently installed.
  • Issue with a job export when an associated config snippet is in the NCM database.
  • Issue with config downloads following upgrade.
  • Issue with transfers hanging in a state of 'Initializing' when trying to download a config or execute a command script.
  • Issue with NCM desktop application not working on a server with an NCM additional poller is installed.
