Re: Search For Nodes - How to Set Default Search Type
Nandish Jul 14, 2011 5:28 AM (in response to jwhitten)As to what I see for the "Search Nodes" widget, you can do a search by Node name or IP Address or..etc from the list of options in the drop down available.
Which version of NPM are you currently running?

Re: Search For Nodes - How to Set Default Search Type
jwhitten Jul 14, 2011 8:17 AM (in response to Nandish)Yes, there are a number of ways that it is possible to search, I'd like to set a *different* one to search on by default. Instead of "Node Name" as the default type, I'd like to search on "IP Address" as the default type. And, if I could have anything, I'd like the search to be "Node Name *AND* IP Address", since I have to select from the results anyway, why not?)
Currently running NPM 10.1.3

Re: Search For Nodes - How to Set Default Search Type
rgward Jul 14, 2011 4:11 PM (in response to Nandish)I'd like to see the "Search for Nodes" AND "Search for Interfaces" resources work like the Search in Manage Nodes/Interfaces resource; no need to specify a wildcard, no dropdown list to select from. It figures out whether you enter a name, partial name, ip address, partial ip address. The data search is also done, I believe, across custom properties as well. It's very convenient!
