Just having a look at the Prometric site for the SolarWinds certification and have a quick question on the retake policy.

      The website states:
Candidates are allowed 3 attempts at the exam, but must wait a minimum of 5 business days between retakes.

Does this mean the one exam fee allows 3 attempts, or does each attempt cost a new exam fee, and after 3 attempts you're just not allowed to ever take the exam again?

Assuming the former (how would you police the latter interpretation), is there an upper limit on taking the 3 attempts before the retake policy expires and you have to pay again?

I'm checking on this and will post back with and answer.

I can tell you that each attempt is a separate fee.  So, it would be that you have to pay each time for the test, and are not allowed to retake it (I imagine only for a certain amount of time.)  Since the certification is only valid for a few years, I assume that were you to fail it the three times that you would not be able to try again for a few years.  Just my thoughts.
