SolarWinds' Wake on LAN application in a Windows environment

I'm using SolarWinds' Wake on Lan version 8, circa 2005. It has worked properly in the past, however this morning, I used it to awaken another PC, and got the message that the PC was on. However it was not on. I repeated using the SolarWinds' WoL application several times, and got repeating false indicators that the target PC was on.

While both PCs are on the same LAN, I configured the WoL application to use the WAN IP address of the target PC, i.e. the Comcast issued IP address.

Has anyone else experienced this?
