Hi,
Is there a way to get the specific OIDs that are currently being polled from ORION?
Linux Redhat and Windows 2003. We only have Orion configured to use the out of the box monitoring due to information assurance reasons. I am wondering if there is a configuration file that I can access that provides me the specific OIDs of the metrics that Orion is polling. Thanks.
You may find the information you need in the following articles in our Knowledge Base:
How come I don't get anything (OID not supported) when I use the UCD MIB to pull disk IO stats from our Windows 2003 server? Does that mean that windows does not support disk IO stats? Thanks.
UCD is for Linux systems and is not supported by Windows.
If you want to use SNMP to monitor Windows Disk I/O you will need to use the free SNMP Infomant extensibility agent and some custom pollers. I have posted a thread that outlines how to monitor Windows Disk I/O which you can find HERE. It will walk you through two different ways to accomplish Windows Disk I/O monitoring.
The agent that I have been using is net-snmp and when I use it to get disk IO stats I don't get anything. I am wondering if the net-snmp agent does not support the UCD MIB. I tried pulling IO stats from a RHEL box using net-snmp and Solarwinds and I was successful. I wonder if there is an extra configuration that I need to do in net-snmp to enable the UCD MIB.
