afaik it does not and it is not currently planned
Right, today we do not, but are thinking of it.
Are you asking about 2-f Authentication when the human uses the NPM interface (code would be given along with login/pwd)
NPM using a soft token when connecting to the devices?
I am adding one "vote" for this requirement (25005)
For the 2-f Auth when a human accesses the web page, you *could* try Quest's Webthority application and proxy the content. That would put all the authentication at the proxy server and Orion would just be receiving the credentials passed by the proxy.
I haven't tested if that would even work, just an idea.
That will be the first scenario, 2nd factor login to web console using an OTP token.
Noted. Is there any schedule to phase 2FA into the product?
One of the requests out there is for SAML support; we make use of this extensively for many services because it offers the opportunity to do more than simply require 2-factor authentication to logon to an application.
as an example:
- public/open read-only portal pages where no authentication is requires
- closed read-only portal pages that a user-name/password grant access to
- higher level access pages that require a token
- special actions that require 'escalation' i.e. i can login and view pages, but if I need to perform a admin function required the token then is requests re-authentication...
Simply adding radius authentication would be sufficient for me to enable two-factor auth in my environment and add an industry standard authentication protocol to the tool. I'd like to add a vote for this.
What's the status of this? Has it been provided / resolved / enabled for Orion suites?
I verified today (20161013) that Orion NCM currently doesn't support MFA.
