I am currently reading through the documentation but it is rather thick and so am I. At least I feel that way, I need to urgently understand Orion, with only a severely dated background in Nagios. I think I can scratch through, but could someone please let me know which section of the manual or quick start deals with monitoring a host or service that is completely external to the company running Orion? It looks like I need to setup a host(foo) to monitor the external(bar), then monitor the host(foo) with Orion? Or can I somewhere tell Orion explicitly what socket to monitor without wizards and discovery and such?
