NetFlow Alerts

Is there a way to create alerts for netflow traffic? Basically, I would like to have an elert emailed out if a flow exceeds xMB of data over x number of minutes.

That particular alert does not exist today but we have one built in 10.1 that will send you top talkers when an interface reches a threshold you set.

Are there specific alerts you would like to see? We are always looking to make life easier on our users.
Also, if you would like more detail on the Top Talker alerts, I recommend refering to the NTA Admin Guide - specifically, Chapter 7.

Hi Mav,
I'll definitely check out the NTA Admin Guide. As far as alerts go, we have run into an issue where one of our 1gig links gets saturated and then pretty much does a DOS on that segment. We were hoping that we could setup an alert that if a flow grew to x mbps on a specified link, it would alert us. That way we could determine what was causing it as it was occurring instead of doing this after the fact.

If the DOS attacks are saturating the link, the existing NetFlow alerts will work as they trigger off of a bandwidth threshold.
