Is there a way to change the different graph types? I'd prefer them to be filled in instead of the line/dot combo. My colleague likes bar graphs or pie charts. Seems like each are set in stone.

looks like I edit the graph details on each node in system manager, but I don't see how to do it for all of them. there are so many nodes and so many settings it would take forever to go to each graph on each node and customize each setting.

I am not sure what version you are using; however, I will point out that SolarWinds is slowly moving away from the System Manager in favor of the WebUI so I would try to avoid relying on any specific functionality of the System Manager.
we are using 10.1, the latest. if you know of a way to change these via the web, I'm all ears.
There is no way to do this via the web, I am personally not familiar with they way that you are doing on on a graph by graph basis. I was just wanting to make sure and point out that SolarWinds is moving in a direction away from the console based System Manager.
Also, I cannot find a way to acknowledge or clear advanced alerts. I can clear events, but not alerts.
Alerts can be acknowledged but not cleared. The only way that I am aware of that alerts can be cleared is by having the rearm conditions met or by deleting the alert entirely.
Where can you acknowledge alerts? My goal is to make it easy to acknowledge alerts so I stop getting emails on my phone. If I could do this via email or the mobile page that'd be great. Otherwise I find computer and vpn in and acknowledge somewhere.
In order to acknowledge alerts the user needs to have the proper permissions assigned to them. If permissions are set properly a user should have the ability to acknowledge alerts in the Alerts which is located on he default menu bar.
