Universal Poller - IBM System x Servers

I'm trying to set-up a universal poller to find the values of items like failed Power Supplies / Fans / temperature etc on IBM System x servers.

The OID I'm testing with is 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.159.1.1.9 (Power supply status)

When testing this OID on a IBM server it returns back with "The OID is not supported"

Is there something on the server I need to set-up (I have node SNMP monitoring working so therefore I know SNMP is configured - from a windows side)

Has anyone any ideas

Are you sure the device you're testing on supports that OID?

Make sure that the Poller is set for Get Next, or Get Table. If the OID still comes back as unsupported, then the Device is not responding to the OID that you have set. The best way to see what your device responds to is to use our Toolset and perform a MIB Walk.

MIB Walk will discover and produce reports detailing which MIBs and OIDs are supported on a particular device. For more information about MIB Walk see the Toolset's Administrator's Guide on PDF page 324.
