Want to compare what NPM has with a Scan of the network

Is there any tool or utility I have not discovered yet, that will ping a bunch of subnets say once a week, compare that to what I have in the solarwinds DB, and give me a list of what's new??

I need to audit the network and it will be a huge chore if I have to ping sweep each location and manually compare that with Solarwinds to make sure we have everything.
