Is it possible to create an alert when a particular neighbor doesn't exist for a device? I have a point to point circuit that I need to create an alert. The LAN side of the circuit comes out of a RAD and stays UP even though there are issues on the telco side of the RAD.
The only thing i can think of is to monitor the router for it's neighbor router, and if it doesn't exist in the neighbor table send an alert that the circuit is down.
I found a Cisco CDP Neighbor Table Universal Device Poller, but I'm having a hard time getting an alert to work. Is this even the correct direction?
