Forum Node is DOWN but I have an event saying "...Interface Polling stoppped..."

Node is DOWN but I have an event saying "...Interface Polling stoppped..."

What is the workaround for this type of event? It is causing us problems to get an alert for Node-Down.

The node is down - it does not ping - but yet Orion does not show it down - it only shows up as a "Node With Problem".

Is there any way of continue interface polling rather than allowing Orion to do this 'interface polling stopped'.

EVENT:

8/26/2010 10:21 mynodename -Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet #2 - Teefer2 Miniport- Interface Polling stopped. Could not remap interface. Check ifDescription change.
