Send an alert if Windows log entry IS NOT received.

We have an application that typically posts an entry into the Windows log every few minutes if things are going well.

What I want to know is if there is a way to send an alert if the log entry isn't received in the past 15 minutes.

I suspect that I would do this with the Syslog Viewer and alerter.

Under the trigger threshold, I see that I can suppress alerts until a certain number are received within a specified time frame. I guess what I want is the reverse. I want the alert triggered if it doesn't receive x number of alerts in the specified time frame.

Any thoughts?
