DNS User Experience against Windows DC

I have reason to believe that our AD DC's which are acting as our primary internet DNS are having issues.  I created 4 DNS User Experience monitors to quantify the issues.  Set to 60 second interval and no additional Windows monitors for these servers.

What I'm finding is occasional and random timeouts amongst the 4 monitors.  The timeouts are not for all of the monitors at the same time and they don't appear to have a specific frequency.

Before I perform further troubleshooting, am I monitoring these correctly?  Should the DNS User Experience monitor still work against Windows 2003 servers?

Next step for me will probably be to add some Windows specific monitors to determine if I'm losing connectivity all together (doubtful) or if I can find some other OS related issue.  Any other ideas?
