RuggedCom Switch Device Template

You may like to try the Device Variations feature out http://www.kiwisyslog.com/help/cattools/dev_devicevariations.htm which was added in CatTools 3.5.0.

Try the 'Generic.Device' device type in CatTools to set this up for your RuggedCom Switch ROS.

We are currently running version 3.4.0.  I downloaded 3.5.0 - but it just came with an exe file.  Are there any upgrade documents or instructions?  Can I upgrade on top of my current version or do I need to export data, uninstall, install and import?

The .exe file is the installer.

You just need to run it on the system where your 3.4.0 version is installed and (normally) just follow all the default settings.  You don't need to uninstall 3.4.0, the installer will upgrade all your device scripts, etc. to the latest version.

You may want to take a backup of the existing CatTools install if you want to as a safeguard.  The easiest way (if you have space) is to take a copy of the whole CatTools folder.
