I keep getting some weird looking dates that make me wonder if it does.

I have a similar message as well, plus I was just now notified of a product update for NPM v10 (which we are already running, obviously).
Yes, the product update you are seeing now is actually for Service Pack 1. That is not clear in the notes of the message and we are addressing that.

Just dismiss the message, we have a defect in to clear this out
